Talon Tales: Shiny Nails

I like shiny things… shiny rings, shiny cars (I’m sorry but I really don’t understand people go for a matt effect on cars?  Why would you do that?  Why?).  Anyway, as I was saying, I like shiny shoes, bags, tiles, ceramics. Shiny bald heads,  shiny purses.   I love patent finish.   So, I also like a topcoat that produces a patent finish. Seche Vite fast drying topcoat is a product that I repeat purchase ALOT.  It is my favourite topcoat, in fact, I have two unopened bottles ready and waiting for me to use.  I wouldn’t say that I buy it in bulk…. but.. I have yet to find a topcoat that is equal to it.

It is as simple as that.  I like the fact that a medium-sized glob of this product placed on your semi wet or dry nails produces a patent finish on your nails which once it is dry. I like the fact that if you occasionally paint your nails on a bus where the road is one continuous pot hole… but the time you reach your destination, your nails are dry to the touch and have a shiny patent lacquer effect.   I also like the strong pear drops smell that you get when you open the bottle.  I wont lie, I do get some shrinkage with this product, but much less than with other top coats that I have tried.  The best thing about this product is that when you have nail varnish which is a bit ropey on the nails or when you have gone to bed with slightly wet nails and there is a slight imprint of the weave of your sheets on the them… and then you put a coat of Seche Vite on, it is as if you had sat patiently for 90 minutes waiting for your nails to dry.
