ORANGE RIND, PINK GRAPEFRUIT AND LEMON RIND!!!!!!
From when I saw those words on the label, I knew in terms of smell – a triple citrus blend, that this product would be right up my citrus loving street.
The smell differs from citrus flower blends as the rind gives a real depth that citrus blossom just dont provide. It is like Aesop peeled an orange and a lemon and poured some grapefruit juice over the top. I loooooove this smell. But products are more then just their smell. they really need to work on skin. Aesop describe this gorgeous orange syllabub coloured product as a balm which got me excited again because it made me thing of an oil rich, thick product which would be great on my crocodile dry skin. It also made me slightly concerned because it was in a bottle rather then a jar… so when I opened the bottle and found a thick cream, to be honest, I was a bit disappointed…. until I put it only my skin.
The product is thick, like mayonaise so getting it out of the bottle is not the easiest thing to do. Storing the bottle upside down (on the lid) helps. It absorbs into the skin very quickly, leaving the amazing scent on the skin and the skin feeling nourished and moisturised even on my crocodile skin and after 12 hours in 80 denier opaque tights my skin was STILL moisturised. The ingredients in the product are gorgeous – shea butter, coconut oil, aloe vera macademia oil. Brilliant.
I got this product as part of the Liberty Ultimate Beauty Gift and started using it last week. Whilst the 50 ml wont last me long, it has been the pefect start to my winter skin regime. The 500ml size comes in a pump dispenser which is the perfect way to apply it. I really really love this product – it is on my Christmas List!!!
