The grey/taupe/mushroom trend in nails has been around for a while and it does not look like it is going anywhere. If you have a fair to medium skin tone, chances are, you have found a colour that works for you. The darker your complexion, the more difficult you will have found it.
Essie Smokin Hot is the colour I wear when I want to give a nod to that trend. It is a mid grey that has been warmed up with purple so it is not as chalky on my nails as a beige/grey. It is also great on toes – greiges tend not to be. This colour is really easy to wear, and it is very easy to elongate your mani with a purple or silver glitter top coat.
