Estee Lauder: Violet Underground Cyber Metallic Palette

Estee Lauder Velvet Underground Cyber Metallic Palette

I bought this palette last year and it has lived in my make up bag ever since.  Often with palettes, there are one or two colours that I either dont like or dont work on my skintone.  Not the case with this one.  This beautiful palette was a limited edition, and my first Estee Lauder make up purchase but not my last.

The texture of these shadows is lovely, very soft but they do not leave any fall out.  Vibrant dry, and even more intense wet.  It came with a sponge applicator and a brush but I don’t use them.

The black in the centre is matt which has the Esteee Lauder embossed in it.  It is lovely to have a black shadow in a palette of brights.

The lightest shade is a warm light beige colour which has a satin finish.  It is not ashy on the skin so I often wear it as the main colour on my mobile lid with thick eyeliner, but more usually in the inner corner to highlight.  I tend not to use it under the brow as it is too light.

The chocolate bronze is metallic with red undertones.  It is a great neutral colour, and works well with a statement lip.

The blue has been described in other blogs as violet but on me, it is not quite bright or purple enough to be described as violet, on me, it is a gorgeous metallic navy.  My favourite colour in the palette.

Last but not least is the pink.  Bright, and luscious, with the right brush it can also be used as a blush… and as a lip colour if applied over a balm.

This is a brilliant palette –  not only for the colours which are both work and evening glam, the mirror, which   but also for the wear – they really last all day.
