Sixty Seconds with… Healgel Face

Healgel Face

HealGel Face is the anti-ageing moisturiser.  The formulas for the HealGel range has been developed by plastic surgeons.  HealGel face has been lauded by many , both in and outside the beauty industry.   The five ml sample I had was plenty  for a weeks use, and I  chose to use it as a day and night cream without a serum underneath it to see if it lived up to the hype.

The texture is really light.  Perfect now that we have moved into slightly warmer weather.  I made the mistake of using too much the first few times I applied it.  You really don’t need to use a lot and even if you do use too much, it does not roll on the skin, it just leaves you a bit greasy.  It absorbs really easily and I found that it was a great base for make up (liquid and stick).  I found that it definitely had a smoothing and hydrating effect on my skin.  Over the course of the seven days my skin did not scream for a serum.  The hyaluronic acid/peptide complex in this cream is impressive. That said, I went back to Hydraluron at the end of the week’s trial. I can’t confirm that it had a firming effect on my skin, but only because after a week it is impossible to tell.

The lavender fragrance is lovely, and for such product with a pretty extensive ingredients list, quite a simple fragrance that you would associate more with a brand which identifies as organic or natural. It was not at all overpowering.  I am very impressed with HealGel Face.
