This product is related to Elemis’ Skin Nourishing Milk Bath. A product that is a hero within the Elemis range. The Milk Bath is multi tasking product that can you used on hair face and body. The Hand and Body Lotion has EXACTLY the same fragrance as the milk bath. Exactly. This makes it perfect for layering if you are already a fan on the Milk Bath. The fragrance if very comforting. It sits very squarely in the clean cotton/laundry/baby powder family of fragrances. So it does not clash with other fragrances. I find this smell is very comforting. It actually reminds me a bit of my mum who often uses the milk bath.
The milk protein in this product makes the product both non irritating and soothing for dry skin. it also has shea butter, sesame seed oil, jojoba oil, meadowfoam oil macademia oil, camilia seed oil. The consistency is slightly thicker then a lotion but not as heavy as a cream. It absorbs very quickly with and leaves the hands softer without being greasy. For me, it too light as a body lotion but a good balance of moisturising without being too greasy. If you are looking for a handcream to massage your cuticles and apply in a thick layer before bed, this is not it, but if you need to be able to pick up the phone or open a door without leaving greasy finger prints – this is an excellent option.
