This is really an empties post as I received this hair oil as part of the August BeBox. Activilong are a French brand that cater specifically for the needs of black women. The repairing oil is an oil blend which is mainly sunflower oil although the olive and avocado oil are the oils that are promoted on the front of the bottle (they are half way down the ingredients list).
This hair oil does not contain silicone, parabens or mineral oil which is great. The ingredients are sunflower oil, coconut oil, macademia oil, olive oil , avocado oil, sesame oil, jojoba oil, corn oil, rosehip oil, balsam oil, rosemary oil and castor oil. The formulation reminds of Africas Best Herbal Oil which I am not a huge fan of.
Despite the rosemary oil, perfume has been added to the blend and it is quite strong and smells quite synthetic. It does provide a sheen to the hair, especially when applied to damp hair. I tended to use it as part of my weekly maintenance rather then post wash and concentrated it on the lengths of my locs rather then at the root. It is housed in a plastic tube with a very useful pump dispenser. Overall, I liked this product but I did not love it.
