If you look on the colour wheel, violet is located between blue and purple and I always think of violet as a mid toned blue purple… like violets (the flower not the sweet). Revlon however thing differently and have named this gorgeous deepest of the deep blue purple Violet.
the colour is gorgeous, opulent, expensive looking and glamorous.
It is a Superlustrous finish which means that that application is smooth and it feels moisturising on the lips. You get a good deposit of colour in one swipe and because it has plenty of pigment, it covers my two tone lips without the need for lip pencil. That said, lip pencil will aid longevity. As much as I generally prefer a matte finish I think that it would make this colour less wearable and that the slight sheen is part of the opulence of the colour.
Definitely a purple to add to the collection.
