Tarte Cosmetics: Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush

Tarte Cosmetics True Love Blusher

Tarte Cosmetics BlusherIf you stalk beauty blogs and You Tube channels from our friends across the atlantic – Tarte cosmetics is a range the comes up a lot. People love the products and the ethos of the brand and for us in the UK we had to wait for a trip to the states to pick it up or just watch lustfully while faces were lavished in these products. If you are not familiar with Tarte – they are a company that utilise ingredients from the Rainforest in their products so Maracuja (passion fruit) oil and Amazonian Clay are a constant in the range. If you are a fan of natural beauty ranges but are looking for high quality, high pigmentation and high performance products, with sustainability principles that extend to the packaging as well as the sourcing of the ingredients, this is a range that you should investigate.

A while back, QVC teased us with a show from the states and then a few products came to air but today – some one hour shows will be premiered. I was lucky to attend the Tarte Cosmetics / QVCUK launch a few weeks ago and have had a chance to use some products that are going to be available on QVC. Head to my on Pinterest or Instagram and have a look at all the pictures – but there are a few below that will give you a flavour of the event!

061 107 I have been using the Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in True Love. When I saw the colour, I was a bit concerned. I did not think that the colour would work for me but I have to say that I have been really pleasantly surprised. Tarte describe this color as Watermelon which I think it pretty accurate.

The blush comes in a small recyclable plastic outer package which reminds you that the range is formulated without mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, gluten or sodium lauryl sulphate.

Tarte Cosmetics True Love Compact

The compact is quite weighty in the hand despite being plastic and the Tarte logo is stamped onto the lid in gold. Put your nail under the lid to open up the compact and there is a mirror that you can fit half of your face into.  The blush itself has a tree design and Tarte stamped into it. Don’t worry that design does not fade after the first use so you don’t feel tentative putting the brush into the product.

The texture of the blush is quite ‘stiff’ by that I mean, it is not like a powdery eyeshadow texture. I find that I can afford to load the brush with quite a lot of product. The colour does benefit from warming up on the skin and produces a bloom on the skin. This blush has talc and clay in it so I was concerned that it would be chalky on a deeper skintone, but with a light application it works really well. I love the fact that it is matte, as it means that I am amp it up with a shimmery highlighter or a deep contour colour. I can also confirm that it does last for 12 hours. Sometimes by the end of the day, you may need to top up your blush colour but not with this. This is a great blusher. I have been stalking the Tarte website and I REALLY want to try Natural Beauty – fingers crossed QVCUK bring it over very soon.

The Amazonian Clay blush is exclusively available from QVCUK Item Number 206023 and will retail for £23:00 plus p&p
