Look out for some exciting newness in June from French Pharmacy brand Melvita.
Melvita’s new Plumping Rose utilises organic rose flower and rose hip (seed) oil. The three products in this range focuses on plumping out fine lines and wrinkles whilst providing moisture and radiance. Rose is not my favourite fragrance in skincare… but… I also know that roses have amazing properties which benefit the skin. This range uses both the flower and the seed so you are getting the full gamut of vitamins and minerals. This results in a range that is moisturising as well as anti inflammatory with a big hit of Vitamin C (thirty times more than an orange) which is an antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals and Vitamin A or retinol which when metabolised can communicate with your skin cells and impacts (positively) on cellular activity.
The range consists of a serum and moisturisers which have light textures and an authentic rose fragrance. The hero of the range however and the product that I have been using over the past few weeks is the Plumping Radiance Duo. This biphase product is a mixture of Damasck Rose water and Rose Hip seed oil.
I had the pleasure of meeting Simon, who is the UK Brand Manager for Melvita at the launch (he is lovely and after I left the event I realised that I had seen him on QVC but I digress…) and advised that the Plumping Radiance Duo could be used as an all in one toner serum and night cream after on lazy nights. On the bottle it states that the product should be used on a clean dry face day and night and followed by a moisturiser.
Caroline Hirons featured the product on her You Tube channel and uses it after an exfoliating toner/exfoliating pads. You know what that means???? This is a very multi functional product. I have used it all of the ways described above and they all worked well. My preferred way to use it however it at night when I am layering up my products which means that sometimes I use it over an exfoliating product, sometimes I don’t use a moisturiser on time but usually I do. You shake the bottle to mix the two phases and then either spray directly onto the face, or spray into your hands and press into your skin. My skin is a fan of this product. I have a face that is round like a dinner plate and in the morning my skin is definitely plumper. This is an anti wrinkle product but I would recommend if sagginess is your current or will be your future issue.
The Radiance duo is housed in a glass bottle (hurrah) and the spray that is dispersed is in a fine mist. Have I mentioned that rose is not my favourite fragrance in skincare? Lets just say that my sis, who I normally donate rose fragranced products to is not getting this. In an ideal world of course, Melvita would make an orange water neroli oil duo (hint hint). The lovely Melvita team have provided a duo of Plumping Radiance Duos (see what I did there) for me to give away so that you can get hold of it before it hits the shops in June. Hurrahhhh!
