Guest Post: Dija’s World’s Top 5 (well 6) Body Oils

Mio The Activist

I am very excited that the fabulous Dija from DijasWorld agreed to do a collaboration post  with me.  We are both HUGE fans of body oils and we are sharing our top five (well in Dija’s case six) on each other’s blogs.  It is really interesting to see each other’s choices and I’ve already added a couple to my wish list.  Big thanks to Dija – I hope this is the first of many collaborations!

Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Massage and Body Oil

I love this oil. Very romantic and very much a boudoir oil and there’s nothing I love more than slathering this on after a luxuriously lazy bath.  Can leave you in  amorous clinches, so beware.

Weleda Wild Rose Body Oil
Clearly I have a thing about roses. With a Rose based oil, your really are spoilt as it takes hundreds of Rose petals to make just one bottle. This is a gentle and delicate oil that deeply nourishes the skin. I also use it a lot in massages for clients because it gives life to dry and parched skin.

Omorovicza’s Lifting Myrrh Oil
This is part of a gift set of three oils and this is by far my favourite of the trio. Myrrh is such a precious and spiritual oil. It  was one of the 3 given to baby Jesus – along with gold and frankincense. I find this oil settles and restores not only my skin but my mind. It’s the one I automatically reach for if I’ve had a hard day.

Mio The Activist Body Oil
A recent addition and great for post gym shower. Great at harnessing moisture in the skin and boosting circulation. Argan oil, sweet almond oil and coconut oil makes it a great moisturiser. Makes you feel that your body/skin is still working out long after you’ve stepped of the treadmill. It’s packed with vitamins, omegas and anti oxidants so it feeds pure goodness into the skin.

Champneys Citrus Blush Dry Body Oil
Been using this for over 10 years and there’s always one in my bathroom cabinet. It has an uplifting citrus and cardamom scent.  Only ever comes out if I have my legs out. Which means it gets an outing every summer. Gives a great sheen. I love the spray bottle because I can angle it to reach behind my legs easily.

Caudalie Divine Oil

This is a staple skincare oil. Another oil, I am never without. Even my husband uses it because of the woody base note. I love the uplifting grape fragrances. It dries almost instantly and always puts me in asummery good mood, no matter what the weather man says!
