KIKO Eye CLICS and Infinity Shadow Giveaway (Closed)

Kiko CLIC Palette Eyeshadows

Kiko CLICS 4 Eyeshadow Palette

Do you remember last year when I put together my MAC eye shadow palette.  You can see it here.  I really enjoyed choosing my colours and this year, I was very tempted to repeat the process at Kiko.  Their customisable palette system is  called ‘CLICS’.  Using their Infinity range of eye shadows (their other eye shadows will not fit the palette) you simply  CLIC (geddit) your eye shadow into the palette.   Kiko eye shadows are two grams compared to MAC’s one point five grams. Kiko Infinity eye shadows (the range that fits into the CLICS palettes)  are five pounds ninety pence compared to MAC’s thirteen pound shadows –  so you get twenty five percent more product for fifty percent less money.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t regret my MAC purchases – MAC have amazing eye shadows …. but KIKO shadows are amazing too and there are ninety six shadows in the Infinity range to choose from.

This year rather then put together another eye shadow palette I put together a blush palette.  Yes, yes, they are eye shadows but the pigmentation is amazing and they are a in  my opinion a great size for a blusher.  It gives you an opportunity to see which colour you love without having six or more grams to get through.  Especially if you want to purchase lots and lots of colours.  More importantly, you can also use them  as eye shadows  so this makes the palette very multifunctional.  The ‘CLIC’ system requires you to push the colours into place as opposed to them shadows being magnetised.  Once you hear the shadow ‘CLIC’ into place it is secure in the palette.  I have carried this palette around in my bag for the last couple of days and the shadows have stayed in place.  The palette is a mixture of matte and shiny black textures and picks up finger prints very quickly.

These are the shades that  I chose:-

Shade 207 – Mat Papaya. It is orange.  Think Sleek Aruba, (do they still make that colour?) great by itself or mixed with the red for a coral tone.  Also a great transition colour

Shade 208 – Mat Red.   Think NARS Exhibit A.  Great on deeper skin tones and a great  transition colour for your eye makeup.

Shade 231 – Sparkling Amaranth.  On me it is a soft pink with a hint of mauve.  As a purple lipstick wearer this is an essential colour.  A bright pink sometimes fights with my statement purple lip, but this softer shade complements it perfectly.

Shade 235 – Mat Chocolate. Might seem like a bit of an oxymoron for me to have a brown cheek colour but it is actually really pretty on the cheeks as a very very subtle contour. I have a very round face some definition to my cheekbones is always a good thing.  I also blend it with the other three shades to change their intensity on my skin.

I am really happy with my selection and have had a great time customising my cheek colour.  I purposely chose matte colours so that I can apply shimmer via a highlighter or bronzer if I want to.  I am so happy with my selection that I am doing a giveaway!  Hurrah!!
