The #internationalbeautyswap that I took part in last year with @2vidasindalls is the gift that keeps on giving.  Milani is one of my favourite American brands as they make great pigmented products in big sizes at really affordable prices and these blushers do not disappoint.

I have two complimentary shades – a matte and a shimmer that are gorgeous on their own but even better together.  Each one is a hefty three an a half grams of product so I would definitely recommend using colours that can double up as eye shadows two as you are not going to get through it quickly.  The packaging is plastiky but sturdy.  In each compact you get the product as well as a brush which in principle is fine but it picks up way to much product and can leave you looking like coco the clown.  Use the brush for something else or bin it and use your own blush brush is my recommendation.  The compact also has a mirror in it which is small so not really suitable for blush application.  because of the depth of the compact, it is unlikely that you will be carrying it around with you.  It definitely could not be described as sleek.

Red Vino (09) it is a swirling red galaxy of deep red and pink with a touch of orange and gold glitter.  If you are not a fan of glitter on the face it might look a bit scary but don’t worry – with the warmth of the skin, the glitter turns into a shimmery glow. The texture if very very smooth so you don’t feel the glitter particles when swatched.  The deeper your skintone the better it looks and I have even mixed it with a lip balm to create a lip colour.  Gorgeous.

Bella Rosa (11) is half way between a fuchsia pink and red.  Cooler in tone then Red Vino, deliciously smooth texture  and completely matte so it is the perfect compliment to Red Vino.  Both these shades are extremely long lasting and really good quality for a’drugstore’ brand.  If you can get hold of it in the UK, grab as many shades as you can.  Otherwise, get someone to bring it over from the states for you as these colours are amazing.
