Remember last year when I did an international Beauty Swap with my Instagram buddy @2vidasindallas, this is the final product from the mahoosive stash that she sent me and I have to say – it is my favourite.
Milani Colour Statement Lipsticks have a lovely moisturising formula, a castor oil base and a very very subtle confectionary smell and small amounts of vitamins A and C. The packaging is gold and the bottom is clear so that you can see the colour of the product.
Violet Volt is described by Milani as a ‘Shimmering Violet Purple’. Sadly it leans very pink on me – much more fuchsia then violet but I still pick up this shade regularly. It is one of the colours that I cocktail using my Illamasqua Blues to get the purple that I want, or just as it if I am having a pink day. The product is highly pigmented as you would expect from Milani and leaves the lips stained after wearing.
The shimmer is not overpowering or teenage – the particles are very fine and add to the cool tone of the lipstick. If you can get hold of Milani check this range out. They have a range of colours from nudes to brights and at $5.99 they are great value.
