Remember the vinyl glosses that hit the market a few years ago? Those thick and gloopy formulas that attempted to make you look like you had plastic on your lips? You will be glad to know that the Make Up Forever Plexi Gloss liq lacquers are not like them.
Plexi Glosses are available in both opaque and sheer formulas and over thirty colours so there is a nude, classic or bright shade for you. Pigmented, but not as much as a liquid lipstick, the colour is buildable but take caution with that as you can end up flooding the lips (in the same way that you might flood the cuticle when painting your nails) especially with the bright colours.
The applicator is a doe foot, is quite wide and has a paddle shape with a split in it, which is apparently to aid application. For me, it did not make a difference to the application process.
The colour is bright fuchsia. It is not completely opaque so you do need to make sure that your lips are in good condition. You can achieve the five hours wear that MUFE claim if careful with food and drink. I like the way the colour wears. After the initial hit of brightness it looses the shine after about twenty minutes whilst retaining the pigmentation so you get a very pretty colour which as it wears further leaves the lips stained. Personally I would not wear it over a lipstick, but it is lovely over a lip pencil that has been applied all over the lips.
MUFE Plexi Glosses are available from Debenhams and retails for £16
