Tan Organic: Oil Arganic

Oil Arganic

Yes, I know that Tan Organic is a tanning brand, but unlike most tanning ranges

  • They have an  EcoCert Organic Multi Use Dry Oil in their range.
  • They are also working with author and eight time cancer survivor  Emma Hannigan supporting cancer research with funds from sales of the range.
  • Founder Noelle O’Connor received investment from Dragons on the Irish Dragons Den
  • There is a special place in my heart and beauty cupboard for female beauty entrepreneurs and I love a body oil so I had to give it a try!

Moisturised skin is a key component of successful self tan.  To be honest I am not in a position to comment on that as I don’t self tan, however, I have very dry skin so I am going to talk about Oil Arganic from that perspective.  Generally I don’t find dry oils rich enough for my crocodile skin and whilst this product did not keep my skin moisturised all day, I did find it to be richer then other that I have tried  which is probably as a result of the olive  avocado and argan oil blend.  Avocado is my favourite body oil and it is rare to find it in a dry oil.  If you don’t like a heavy oil on the skin, this product may be for you as it is rich yet light.

The fragrance is delightful. Orange (you know it’s my favourite) and dog rose give it a citrus with a hint of floral scent, housed in a beautiful glass bottle with a stopper dispenser (too allow controlled application) with a wooden lid.  I have to say the lid is a stroke of genius as with oil laden hands you can screw the lid on and off easier then you could with plastic or glass lid.

My favourite place to use Oil Arganic is on the body but it worked well as a cuticle oil and on the ends of my hair too.  This is a lovely oil that supports a very worthy cause – definitely one to look out for whether you self tan or not.  It is  available from a variety of stockists include Waitrose and Look Fantastic and retails for £24.99
