British candle brand Sandy Bay London is a brand that is quite new to to me. I first became aware of it when QVC was on in the background while I was blogging. The owner Sandy Burns prides herself on providing a luxurious product. It the paraffin wax candles are hand poured in the UK. The Sandy Bay London range has a predominantly feminine feel but there is a ‘Gentleman’s Collection which is has woody and spicy accords.
I have been burning Vintage Champagne for the past week. Sadly my budget does not run to vintage champagne. My drink of choice is rum, however, I do enjoy the occasional glass of champers. The idea of the Sandy Bay Vintage Champagne candle as a celebration caandle appeals to me. Vintage champagne is available in bumper three wick version that burns for sixty hours or the miniature that burns for ten. House in sturdy glass I have been burning mini version for the past week and I am really impressed with the throw of fragrance this small candle produces.
This is a sweet, fruity fragrance – a gourmand with mouthwatering pear notes. Apple is not listed as a note, but this smells very apply to me. The grape and peach add to the sweetness and I don’t get any of the vanilla or oak. I thought this would be a front room fragrance and it does work there. I do feel that Sandy Bay London Vintage Champagne is a very day time scent due to the sweetness. I have been burning this in the bathroom as it’s a great accompaniment to morning ablutions.
Sandy Bay candles are available from their website and from QVCUK prices start from £10.00
