Cleanse and Exfoliate with ESPA

Cleanse and Exfoliate with ESPA

ESPA is a brand I associate with body products because until now those are the only products from the range.  I love their body oils but I am all about trying new things and I am a #cleanseaholic so I decided it was time for me to Cleanse and Exfoliate with ESPA.

Cleanse and Exfoliate with ESPA Nourishing Cleansing Balm

ESPA Nourishing Cleansing Balm

I love a cleansing balm and this one is generously supplied with two muslin cloths (although I prefer flannels). When you take the lid off the jar and put your nose into a jar you are immediately taken to a spa.  The rosewood, orange damask rose and geranium blend is subtle floral with depth.

ESPA Nourishing Cleansing BalmThe texture is a soft balm, the beeswax help it to say semi solid while the grapeseed and sweet almond oils give you slip. You can scoop the product in the hand, warm it and apply it to the skin.   The texture is super smooth and a little really does go a long way.  It removes make up very easily including glitter and waterproof mascara.  The balm emulsifies so you can rinse it off but of course I prefer to use a flannel.  It leaves the skin hydrated and nourished by there isn’t any residue.  This is an AMAZING cleanser.  If you are a cleanseaholic like I am – you will love it.

Refining Skin Polish (£27.00)

ESPA Refining Skin Polish

I tend to steer clear of manual scrubs and Refining Skin Polish typifies why.  This exfoliator has spherical diatomaceous earth like the Dr Bragi Bio Marine Exfoliant which is an exfoliator that I didn’t like.

ESPA Refining Skin Polish

This product is far to rough for my face – even when used gently.  Definitely one to steer clear of.

Optimal Skin Pro Cleanser (£30.00)

ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Cleanser

Wow!  For a brand that can blend beautiful body oils to create a great cleansing balm is not a stretch but this cleanser is on a whole different level.  This product works in three ways – used on damp skin to cleanse the skin which is does really well thanks to the moringa in it. (I’ve also used it on dry skin with no issues).

ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Cleanser

It has jojoba beads in it so it provides very gentle manual exfoliation but more importantly for me when the jojoba beads burst you get the delicious oil on the skin.  But wait, there’s more. There are pumpkin enzymes in the product which have a brightening effect on the skin.  This is a rinse of cleanser (but no surprise I use a flannel) AND it does not leave the skin taut at all.  I like to use this as my morning cleanse but it works equally well as a second cleanse. Between the avocado, moringa and jojoba soothing and nourishing my skin and the mandarin and bitter orange fragrance I am in heaven.  I am so impressed with this cleanser, I’ve already got a back up!

ESPA is available from Liberty and other authorised stockists.
