Makeup Revolution have many palettes in their inventory and to be honest many of they look the same(nude palette anyone?). The Give them Nightmares palette is by far my favourite from the range. It contains grey black green blue and purple matte and shimmer shades and one matte white shade. The outlier I like to call it. I have no idea why this shade was included but I forgive the palette because the rest of the shades are lush. In an ideal world of course there would be more purple in this palette, but I appreciate that not everyone in the world loves the shade as much as I do.Lets start with confusing element of this palette. On the box, the palette is called Give Them Nightmares. When you take the actual palette out of the box it is called the Salvation Palette. Why? Because Salvation indicates the format of the palette (twelve square and six round godets).
You definitely need to apply your eye makeup before you do your face with Give them Nightmares. There is some fall out with both the matte and shimmer shades. Additionally they are dark so they can have a detrimental impact on your foundation / concealer if you apply your face first. The shades themselves blend well and you can create a great range of looks. The packaging is standard but that is not really what you buy the palette for. I do wish the palettes had mirrors instead of that blimin double ended foam applicator. To be clear, I a not opposed to a foam applicator in theory but these are not the best quality and it always just goes straight in the bin.
Anyway, behold the palette pictures and swatches.
The shades are all named, which is helpful – my favourite colour is ‘I am watching you’ a deep shimmery purple
Makeup Revolution palettes are great value. You will definitely need a primer with this shades but at £6.00 you really cant go wrong.
Makeup Revolution is available from their website and from Superdrugs, the palette retails for £6.00
