#brandalert Ilia Beauty

Ilia Lip Conditioners, Illuminator and Multi Use Stick

Ilia

Last week I wrote about the Ilia Effortless Definition Masterclass.  We were generously gifted some items to try and I have been playing with them for about a fortnight.  My usual go to makeup is pretty heavy duty.  Ilia’s ethos encapsulates sheer glow.  The products are beautifully packaged, easy to apply and surprisingly long lasting. They have become a regular part of my weekend make up routine.

Cosmic Dancer Illuminator £30.00

Like many I am obsessed with highlighter.  Cosmic Dancer is a light gold shade that works beautifully on the skin giving a healthy sheen.  I generally don’t like to powder over the top of Ilia products but Cosmic Dancer is the exception.  The tacky texture makes it the perfect base for a powder highlighter to create a more intense effect on the skin.

Ilia A Fine Romance and Cosmic Dancer

A Fine Romance Multi Stick £30.00

Surprisingly this is my favourite product. It has a permanent place in my makeup bag. Described as a berry shade it is quite rosy on my complexion which makes it perfect for lips and cheeks.  The perfect way to creat ‘ no-make-up’, ‘I-woke-up-like-this’, ‘I’ve-had-enough-sleep’ look when none of those things are true.

Tinted Lip Conditioners £22.00

Ilia Lip Conditioners

Generally I wear more opaque lip colours but these lip conditioners pack more of a colour punch than many on the mainstream market.  Think subtle colour rather than lipgloss.  This makes them a very welcome step up from a chap stick type product as the castor and jojoba oils make the product far more hydrating for the lips than a petroleum based product.  The Lip Conditioners are buildable so more intense colour is possible.  The shades I have can double up as cheek colours too.

  • Arabian Nights – This is a blend of violet and burgundy which registers as a nude brown on me.
  • Lust for Life – described as  a mulberry shades this is red on my pigmented.

There is definitely a place for Ilia in my makeup routine. With my rich skin tone, the lack of fillers means that I get a gentle wash of pigment on the skin that provides a real glow on the skin. This is definitely a range to explore further and there is a purple lipstick (obvs) called Inkpot which I will be picking up soon!

If you are in London, head to Fenwicks (Bond Street) or Fortnum and Mason to play with the range but you can pick it up online from Naturissmo.
