Hurrah for Lola Makeup. Their Kajal Duo and All In One Mascara have been released at the perfect time. I love a Christmas Limited Edition as much as the next beauty addict but there is only so much red and sparkle that even I can deal with. The lovely people at Lola Makeup, seem to have read my mind. Their Christmas duo is one I can use year round… except it is limited edition.
All in One Mascara – £12.00
Cracking open a new mascara is always a joy but at this time of year when they are drinks, dinners, meet ups, catch ups and random bumping intos, I’m fluttering my lashes more than usual. The All in One mascara does a little bit of everything very well. If you want length, apply long strokes up the lashes, let them dry and repeat. If you want volume, add lot of layers at the root. If you want curl, use the shape of the brush to push the lashes into position. The brush is big but not too big and the formula is wet but not too wet which means that you can get a variety of looks from the one product. As 12 pounds, it comes in at Boots/Superdrug prices so it is definitely worth a go. I prefer it to Lola Makeup’s Lash Extension formula (by far). It does not leave your lashes hard when it dries. It is long lasting on the lashes and easy to remove. If you are a mascara fan and you love the Lola brand, it is definitely worth picking up two of these .
Duo Kajal + Eyeliner £21
I wrote lovingly about the Ciate Double Lines eyeliner here. Lola’s Duo Kajal +Eyeliner is very similar which is a great thing as I LOVE that product. The Kajal end is super black, soft to apply and long lasting as it sets on the skin. You can tightline without damaging your eyeball as the Kajal is quite long.
The level of pigmentation means that one pass will provide a defined look. The felt has super fine point so you can get right into the corner of your eyes. Again, it is very pigmented so you get a very black line and it dries matte but not tight. I am prone to watery eyes and I find that it lasts well on the skin. A year round must have!
