I remember getting quite excited when I got a samptle Tom Ford Noir Por Femme. I am a fan of Tom Ford and whilst I have spent quite alot of time getting to know the Private Blend range, the standard range is pretty new to me.
If you like the idea of Black Orchid from Tom Ford, but it is a bit much for your olfactory system, Noir Por Femme may be a bit closer to your speed. It is a complex, warm, opulent with heavy vanilla vibes. Instinctively, it feels like an autumn/winter fragrance, but as the day progresses, it develops into a date night scent. This won’t be for everyone, and if oversprayed, the scent will definitely wear you rather than the other way round.
- Bitter Orange
- Mandarin Orange
- Orange Blossom
On the Skin
Depite the citrus heavy top notes, I dont get any of them on the skin which as a citrus addict is a bit of a disappointment. Despite the wood and the floral elements on me this sent is all about the vanilla with a bit of creaminess from the kulfi (frozen Indian dessert) which is the note that everyone went crazy for. Mastic, a note that was new to me is the resin from a meditteranean shrub. It has a a pine / cedar fragrance profile but for me it is not descernable on the skin. Longevity of Noir Por Femme is 6 – 7 hours and the sweetness retained through the dry down.
Worth a Full Bottle?
No, not for me. I appreciate it as a scent, but the deep dark vanilla vibe is not really my thing.
