Smashbox are one of the few cosmetic brands that have included all skintones in their ‘alphabet cosmetics’. One of the reasons that BB /CC phenomena has passed me by is that ninety nine percent of brands only do two or three shade in these products. If they do have a ‘dark’ shade… it is still far to light for my skintone.
We have gone from BB through to EE in a couple of years and I am sure there are marketing teams working on FF creams as I write this. I have tried a couple of products and they have not revolutionised by make up bag but I love trying new products so I was interested to see what a BB Cream formulated for the eyes would do for me. For me this works as a highlighter (think Touche Eclat). My dark circles are not too bad so this colour and texture work well for me. If your skin tone is deeper then mine you may find that this is too light for you.
It is a brush applicator which you twist and you can hear it click. Product is released through the brush. The texture is like a light liquid foundation. I use it under the eye and the inner corner of the eye for brightness. If your main concern is dark circles, you may need to do some colour correcting be for applying this product.
What started as strictly a product for the eyes has now become the way I highlight my whole face on those days when I am doing my best Kim Kardashion impression. I use it to under the eyes and eyebrows, around the nostrils down the nose and on the chin. If the shade range was extended into deeper shades they it would be perfect for contouring!!!
