I think… that this is is my first ever Clinique lipstick. Ever.
The packaging is beautiful. Not the box, which is the standards pastel pink flower on a white background – but the bullet itself, which is stylish and sleek and very contemporary looking against the twee box. The silver bullet with horizontal circles does not scream Clinique and I really like it. It feels weighty in the hand and you can differentiate the lid from the rest of the bullet by the brushed metal versus the polished rounds.
This lipstick is fragrance free – it really does not smell of anything which is brilliant. The description of this as a soft matte is very accurate. The texture is not at all drying (probably due to the shea butter, beeswax, aloe vera and soy bean oil) and while it feels supple on the lips it does not leave a sheen but it is not a dry matte finish. If you find Ruby Woo from MAC or the original formula Illamasqua matte colours drying you definitely need to give these a try.
There are eight colours in the range all are accessible wearable colour. The description of this colour however is not accurate. It is described as plum but it is definitely a mid tone pretty neutral pink on my lips. It behaves like other matte lipsticks I own so it is pretty long lasting
