Combating Winter Dry Skin: Baija Huile Onctuese Fleur D’Oranger

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!  Let me apologise in advance for gushing, but…I love this product.  I love this product so much, that I don’t allow myself to use it… because sadly it is not available in the UK.  The gorgeous Kareen from Ziba Blog (please check out her blog and her online store she is fabulous ) did beauty swap with me which she wrote about here.  I asked for this product as I had seen her review the range very favourably.

I love this product so much that I find myself putting half a pump on the back of my hand and smelling it when I come home from a stressful day at work.  Baija describe this as a ‘smooth’ ‘semi-dry’ oil.  It is a sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, sesame seed oil blend, which means that it is moisturising and nourishing without being greasy, it absorbs quite quickly and it passes the eight hour opaque tight test with ease.   I love a body oil, and whilst Baija instruct that this can be used in the bath, I wont be doing that.  I am going to save it for high days and holidays, where a long bath, an intense body scrub followed by this body oil is going to leave my skin moisturised and nourished and enveloped in the most gorgeous fragrance.

I feel about neroli how many feel about oud, or rose, or tuberose or other floral fragrances, ie obsessive!  I love citrus smells, but I go a bit crazy around neroli.  I don’t know what it is… I think that it is floral without being sickly sweet, it is heady without being headache inducing and I find it to be both intense and intimate.  It does not scream look at me like some florals do. It is not overtly girly or feminine  like rose, in fact it is quite unisex.  I know… I’m rambling but that is the N E R O L I  effect.  Anyway, I have the Baija body oil in Fleur D’Oranger. . aka N E R O L I.  So, what’s not to love?  I’ll tell you what – nothing!

Huge thanks to Kareen at Ziba Blog (I hope you realise you have let the neroli monster loose!) for introducing me to this amazing body oil.
