Time for another review of products from the high street / drugstore. Five from the high street part 4 features as always a complexion product – this month from Revlon. There are also two Superdrug own brand products.
*Superdrug Vitamin E Dual Phase Cleansing Oil (£2.99)
When I see a dual phase cleanser I always asumme it is just for the eyes but this is a cleansing oil that can be used across the whole face. It contains mineral oil which I generally don’t use on my face. For the purposes of the blog, I did. I removed makeup fine, but I use it to remove swatches as I find it to be less stripping than wipes.
*Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Effect (£12.99)
Seventeen Eyeshadow Mono (£3.89)
This is one of the worst eyeshadows that I have ever used. Ever. It is very disappointing as the colour is delicious. It swatches fine but on the lids, even with an eyelid primer this is the epitome of patchy. Definitely not recommended.
*B Eyebrow Groomer / Liner
The bristles are taklon. the spoolie does not grip my brow hairs as much as say my tom Ford so I can only use it when my brows have been threaded. the angled brush is not to stiff so you can create your on fleek’ brow and fill it in with ease. The angled brush is my favourite and can be used on eye the eyes with powder but not with gel
*Superdrug Nail Polish remover Acetone Pot (£2.99)
I generally steer clear of acetone in nail varnish remover as I find it drying on the nails. However, I bought this specifically to take off glitter nail polish. It does what it says on the tub. With a bit of twisting and and turning it removes glitter without getting cotton wool stuck on my nails. It is cheap and cheerful and it does the job. It is worth picking up three next time you are in store. That way you can have one for glitter, one for dark shades and one for light / nude shades.
Seventeen is available from Boots. All the other products are available from Superdrug.
