Paul and Joe is a range of makeup that I have seen in high end stores and always walked past because it was a touch cutesy for me. The kittens and floral motif was not my style. In addition, the foundation colours in this range are very pale and to be honest that fact that they only have two or three shades of foundation just turned me off.
The Paul and Joe cosmetics line came to fruition in 2002 and is named after the sons of designer Sophie Mechaly. The brand has a French sensibility with a Japanese aesthetic.
Craig Ryan French came to London to give a masterclass on the new summer collection. As a newbie to the brand it was great to get a full explanation about the products in the range and how he liked to use them with a few pro MUA tips thrown in for good measure.
- the areas where you need foundation the most are the areas that move like round the mouth the eyes and the nose
- people often show their anxiety in their ears to don’t forget to put foundation on the ears

The Eye Shadow Trios come in eight shades and are have a glitter and two shimmer shades in very wearable palettes
The blotting papers, eyeshadows and cheek colours are refills. You choose your casing (those pictured are limited edition for the summer). The eyeshadows are £23 and the cases are £7

The range is available from Harrods, Asos, Selfridges and other retail outlets
