Talon Tales: Kiko Dark Violet (334)

Kiko Deep Violet

Kiko are a great range – they have great products (including foundations for me – hurrah!) at affordable prices and that includes nail colours.

Kiko Deep Violet

Dark Violet became one of my signature purples from the first time I used it and for my blog birthday week it felt like an appropriate choice.  It is a proper purple rather then the deep violet it is described as.

The gel formula is quite thick without being gloopy.  It is easy to apply especially if manicures are not your forte.  Like many three free formulas (DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde)  it has quite a strong fragrance and it takes a little longer then standard polishes to dry but it is worth it – not only because the colour is gorgeous but also because with prices starting from three pounds and ninety pence per eleven millilitre bottle it is significantly cheaper then many brands in Boots and Superdrug.

The addition of a coat of Seche Vite lengthens wear time but unlike for example, Face Stockholm, it does not change the colour of the polish.  The bottle is small and compact and the brush is wide enough to get three swipes easily across the nail.  I am REALLY impressed with this polish.  If you are heading to central London for a bit a beauty shopping, you need to go to the large Regent Street store, they are also in Westfield East and West and Guildford but their online service is also top notch.  Great brand.
