Exuviance is a doctor brand – created by dermatologists with a clinical focus it is a ‘cosmecutical’ brand that high efficacy products to be used at home. Bionic Oxygen Facial is a mask is one of their most recent launches. It can be used on it’s own or as part of a skincare treatment to provide radiance to the skin.
The product is blue and has a gel consistency. You squeeze four to five pumps onto the back of the hand and apply to your face which is already wet. The instructions say damp but the effect is better when you put water on your face rather than just not drying your face after you have cleansed with a flannel. Be generous, not riduculous but the layer is thicker than you would apply for some masks and within approximately 10 seconds you will be able to see and feel the product effevesing on the skin. It is a pleasent sensation – it does not sting at all and it is litterally thousandans of bubbles forming and then popping on the skin. this is not a mask that sets tight or stops you from talking, you can carry on with your business while the guiness like foam comes and goes on the skin. Once the bubbles have stopped doing their thing there is a residue left on the skin. Remove the residue and carry on your skincare routine. For me, this would be a night cream and or a facial oil.
This mask is recommended for use after peels and microdermabrasion so it is not at all irritating on the skin. I have used it after exfoliating and there has not been a reaction at all. I am a huge fan of this mask. I have had mixed results with ‘oxygen’ products. The Bliss Triple Oxygen Energising Cleanser left my skin taut and irritated, but the Elemis Oxygenating Night Cream is one of my favourite night time products. Many dermatologists and skincare specialists are sceptical about the efficacy of products to deliver oxygen to the skin through skincare but skincare formulas are pushing the boundaries all the time. Carrier molecules (in this case three flourocarbon molecules which is proven to be able to carry gases) can take active ingredients (oxygen) through the top layer of the skin (epidermis) to the dermis where the blood vessels, collagen and elastin are.
My skin loves this product. Every time I use it, even when I am having a good skin day or skin week, the look and feel of my skin is improved. My skin is radiant after use, clear, hydrated and the texture when I don’t ex foliate before hand is very refined. I have tested this product on the mister and it had the same effect on his skin, it was easy to remove from his designer stubble. He has good skin, but the Bionic Oxygen Facial left him looking much fresher.
If you are someone that loves your skincare, like I do and likes to multi mask, this is a great addition to your skincare arsenal. If you are not a skincare junkie and are looking for something quick and effective on the skin, this is really a great product. You can use it up to three times a week and in five minutes you have really improved the appearance of the skin.
