Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick Walnut (8)

Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick Walnut

Having discovered stick foundations last year with Black Opal I am a huge fan.  The Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick is about two centimetres in diameter and ten centimetres long so it is very portable but much slimmer then Black Opal.

The packaging is sleek.  The black casing is smooth and shiny so picks up finger marks but is also extremely tactile. The mechanism to roll the foundation up is extremely smooth as you would expect from Bobbi Brown and lid slides into place.  It definitely has the purse factor.

The texture of the foundation is very smooth and provides a flawless finish on the face.  I have applied it with my fingers, a beauty blender type brush and my Louise Young foundation brush and get an equally flawless finish.  It is not quite as opaque as the Black Opal foundation, so I have to use a bit more product to hard the marks on my face from scarring but a little on a concealer brush does the trick.

It does contain  some titanium dioxide but does not claim to have SPF in it.   I don’t find that it flashes in photography but it is something to be aware of.  As with all foundations it does transfer but a little setting powder keeps it in place.  I don’t use a primer but find that it lasts a day in the office without a touch up. My Maq Pro foundation lasts longer though.

This is a very very good foundation, but the finish is not quite as flawless as Maq Pro and it is not quite as long lasting – that said it is far more portable.  If you are looking for medium to full coverage this is definitely a good one to try.
