I love discovering new skincare brands and Orico is the newest one on my radar. This is a British Brand which creates certified organic ( EcoCert) skincare for the face, body and babies. The products are made in the UK, they are not tested on animals and are paraben free. So far so good. Much has been made about the Kate Middleton (allegedly) being a fan but that is not what interested me. I wanted to find to find out for myself whether this brand that uses ‘clinically active’ bioactives was going to work for me.
Orico London have a range of skincare including body oils which I love so their Superico Omega Rich Body Oil has had a place in my bathroom for the past seven weeks
I was disappointed with the plastic bottle which is quite thin and the pump did not have the smoothest mechanism. The oil itself is a pale gold colour and it is really light. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and within a couple of minutes, the skin feels dry to the touch without looking or feeling parched. The lightness of this oil is very impressive to me because this is a Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil Extract and Rapeseed oil blend. These are not the lightest oils but Orico have worked some magic in the lab. The fragrance is gorgeous, Lavender, Geranium, Bergamot and Dog Rose.
This is a great oil for warmer weather. It passed the eight hour opaque tight test which meant that my skin was hydrated all day, but it is also really light so you can apply and go. If you are not body oil obsessed like me, you can add it to a body lotion for an extra boost. I have also been known to add a couple of pumps to the ends of my hair. This is a great body oil
Superico is available from Debenhams for £20.00
