Malin + Goetz is an American skincare range which utilises patented technology with natural ingredients. The range is unisex but for me the aesthetic is quite masculine.
This cleanser is currently the only one in the range an it utilises anti bacterial and exfoliating grapefruit alongside Malin + Goetz amino acid technology. It is claimed that this foaming gel cleanser wont strip the skin and that it will balance and purify… however, I found that it left my skin quite taut after use. It does not foam like bubble bath, even with a fair bit of water, it forms small bubbles. I definitely reached for a hydrating toner after every use. I also did not find that it was any good at removing makeup so even when I planned to do a double cleanse, using this cleanser and then a cleansing balm, it did not work.
Also, the grapefruit smell is a little odd. If it did not say grapefruit on the bottle, I dont think that I would have know that it was grapefruit, there is a sharpness to it, but for me it is not quite true grapefruit and it does not last on the skin. So then I tried to use it as a handwash, but it left my hands really dry, so it was donated to the office loo.
