Personally, I will be avoiding The Bikini Zone (!) but OPI could not do a Brazil collection without a bikini reference.
This is an interesting colour for me – described by OPI as an amethyst toned pewter. To be honest, I ‘m not sure what that means. The colour is irridescent so in the bottle it does pick up different shades of mauve and soft purple with occasional flashes of grey. On my nails however, I don’t get any of the grey – it is all mid tone shimmery mauves. No flashes. Slightly disappointing.
As much as I LOVE OPI – and I really do, this is not one of my faves from the Brazil Collection or from OPI ever… but… this is a fab colour for cocktailing. If like me, you have been wearing deep dark shades (eg Lincoln Park After Dark) are looking to transform them into summer shades with a mauve tone – this is fabulous. Works well over any cream colour and of course it can be used as an accent.
The OPI formula is second to none and I love the pro wide brush.
Next Stop… The Bikini Zone is available from QVCUK with prices starting at eighteen pounds depending on the configuration of the items.
