Soap and Glory: Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush

Soap and Glory Archery 2 in 1 brow filling pencil and brush

Archery from Soap and Glory has been a game changer. Soap and Glory is a brand that I feel really meh about. I am not generally a fan of their makeup. It does not cater for my skin tone or my needs.   I have tried their skincare.  It is ok, but again not my favourite.  They do amazing gift sets at Christmas eg Full Monty but it is not enough for me to rave about the brand as a whole.

I  recently discovered the Archery 2 in 1 brow filling pencil and brush.  There are many product on the market that look like this.  Most famously the  Anastasia Beverly Hills  Brow Wiz which I have never tried.  I imagine that the feeling that people had when they first used that product is what I experienced when I first used this product. You know when you audibly yelp when you try a new product that is so good, you cant believe it?  Yep – that happened.

The Packaging

I am really happy that neither the box nor the pencil have the vintage /kitsch/cute imagery that the brand uses on larger products.  It is a contemporary product and the simplistic pencil and small box are appropriate.  Archery has a six month shelf like, but I will get through it as I use it every day to deal with my sparse tadpole rows.  Interestingly Archery is made in Korea, not sure if that means it has Korean technology but it is a good product.

The Colour and Texture

The colours is described as hot chocolate.  It is a very cool  brown so works perfectly for me.  Thankfully I don’t need to press super hard to get the colour I want. The texture is perfect.  It is  waxy but a bit dry. As the tails of my brows are extremely sparse I can create hair like strokes easily. On those days when I need to get my eyebrows threaded but  have not had time to get to the salon, I can still make my brows presentable to the world. I can get enough definition to make it seem like my brows are just full rather than that they need to be threaded.

The Spoolie

The spoolie is ace. I am very specific with my spoolies, because my hairs are sparse I need the spoolie to pick and  place the hairs to where I put them and this spoolie does that.  It is up there with the Revolution spoolie which is my number 1 favourite.  This is a very close second.

Normally when I buy products, I take pictures of them even if I am not going to use them straight away because as I blogger I know I will get to it eventually.  With Archery,  I did not because it was Soap and Glory and my expectations were really low.  I have just been using it and loving it. I need to get a back up which I don’t say lightly as brows aren’t really my thing. Archery is really good and at £8.00 it won’t break the bank. It is definitely one to add to the wishlist.
