The coconut trend in skincare is not going anywhere. Nails Inc have now incorporated coconut water into their gel effect nail polish. The Coconut Bright Gel Effect range is a small edit of four bright shades.
The Gel Effect range gives the look of gels without the UV. The formula is high shine an quick drying. The addition of coconut water is claimed to hydrate the nails. I love Nails Inc as a brand but a gel polish formula does not contain hydrating ingredients. Nail polish formulas are a delicate balance of forming a film on the nails that is not too brittle of thin and disperses colour evenly. When you apply the colour the the nails it does not smell of coconut and and your nails are no more hydrated after using it than the standard formula Nails Inc formula. Sorry, but am not believing the claims on this one!
That said – I really do like this formula. This is a range to buy if you like the colour, not for hydration.
